Getting Past Hardship and Believing You Can Do It

by Mark Treick on February 12, 2013

Getting past hardship, I realize like traumatic events, such as losing your job, or losing someone dear to your life, can be extremely overwhelming. When life throws you a wild pitch, it can be one of the most difficult things to heal from. I've been there, and I know these situations can seem unbearable. You can easily get lost in the misery of it all.

It's not easy break free I know.  All the memories. All the simple downright pain of the loss. And when it comes down to it, it's hard to think you can do something - anything - without having a job to pay for it, or opening the bedroom door and not being able to wake up your special person up from sleeping like you're used to doing.

It's really tough, I know. And it seems even tougher once you realize that the life around you - even after this great loss to your life - just doesn't stop. You feel it should stop, but it just keeps moving.

It's tough... Really tough...

Now you've come to a crossroads - especially if you're in a life changing situation - where you can make a choice. "Do I keep going, or do I pack it in?"

It's a tough decision to decide to do it on your own, to take the risk and move on.  To open yourself up to the world. In the end, however, it's all up to you.  It's up to you to decide, "To do it - To not do it."

Intention is a large factor in your life's direction, especially after trauma. And I understand your feelings of wanting someone to help you find that way out of your pain.

Unfortunately and statistically you are not going to find that needed direction looking outside of who you are.  You are going to find that direction - your direction you INTEND - by trusting who you are and what you can do.  You are going find it from within YOU.

You are special.  You are unique.  Your are what you think of yourself.  Believe what you can do.  Believe you are a great and wonderful person. Believe you deserve to move foreword. Believe in what you can do for others with the knowledge you have to provide them.  It's there.  You just have to step up and find it.

In any business, one aspect that is true within the souls of all wildly successful business people, is the belief that " I can do this."  It's not if I think " You can do this."  (That's a given.  I don't think it. I know you can!)  It's the " I " that has to believed.

In other words, " You " have to believe you can change your direction - getting past hardship - not someone else.
